James L. Nihart, age 67, of Minerva, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born Sept. 4, 1947 in Canton to Murlan and Mary (Long) Nihart. He was a retired steelworker having worked for Wallace Forge for 23 years and was a graduate of Minerva High School.

He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Nihart of Minerva; a sister, Sharon Krabill of Minerva; a brother, David Nihart of Salem; a grandchild; and his ex-wife and best friend, Pam Tucker. He is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Krabill.

Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
