Obituary

James "Bud" Kiskadden, age 86, of Minerva died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014. He was born May 17, 1927 in Weiner, Arkansas to Charles and Dovie (Wilhelm) Kiskadden. He retired from Robertson Excavating in Malvern and had been a former correction officer for the Illinois Dept. of Corrections at the Joliet State Penitentiary and an oil field worker. He is a US Navy Veteran of WWII having served on the USS Rawlings and the USS Marshal. He is a member of Mt. Gilead Lodge #206 F&AM in Denmark, OH, a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #3747 in Canton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Vickers) Kiskadden who died in 2000; son-in-law, Billy "Ralph" Lyons; sister, Sue Cobb; and a brother, Charles "Peewee" Kiskadden. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Lyons of Malvern; son, James (Sharon) Kiskadden Jr. of Minerva; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison
Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Hill officiating, preceded by Masonic services. Burial with full military services will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from noon to 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice Assoc.
