Obituary

James A. Jordan

Age 82, of Hartville and formerly of Minerva, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born September 18, 1936 in McGuffey, Ohio to William and Ellen Marie (Cowan) Jordan. He retired as a Glazier from Sharff Glass, was a 1955 graduate of East Canton High School, a US Army veteran and a longtime member of Peace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Melody (Rich) Burchett of Minerva; 3 sons, James (Robin) Jordan of Minerva, Michael (Jennifer) Jordan of Minerva, Andrew Jordan of Hartville; a sister, Norma Moser of Louisville; 8 grandchildren, Amanda and Lindsay Burchett, James and Samantha Jordan, Makenzie, Jessica and Caitlynn Jordan and Austin Elson.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Elson; a sister, Sandy Sutton; 2 brothers, Robert and William Jordan and a brother-in-law, Donald Moser.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Kirt Henman officiating. Burial with full military honors by the Carroll County Honor Guard will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care.
