James Gilliam, age 82, of Minerva, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 in the Great Trail Care Center in Minerva. He was born June 16, 1930 in Canton, OH to James and Pauline Gilliam. He retired from the Timken Company where he had worked for 36 ½ years and was a farmer. He is a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Morrow) Gilliam who died in 2012. He is survived by a son, Jamie (Deborah) Gilliam of Alliance; sister, Marybelle (Calvin) Smith of Napoleon, OH and a granddaughter, Kristen Gilliam of Minerva.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held Monday March 4, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at East Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Fredrick Bays officiating. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
