James H. Fitzsimmons

Age 87, of East Rochester, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in Aultman Hospital. He was born February 22, 1938 in Mechanicstown to Earl and Maeabell (McGrew) Fitzsimmons. He retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva and he was a graduate of Minerva High School in 1957. Uncle Jim enjoyed watching and going to the Cleveland Indians games, amusement parks, such as Cedar Point, Geauga Lake and Idora Park, taking his family and friends most of the time. He would love to go on  road trips with his family and friends to many places. He was also an avid Pepsi and comic book collector. He was always the first in the family with new technology, which led to home video movie nights at his place.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Wilda Stone.  He is survived by 2 nephews, Steven Stone of Dellroy, G. Leroy Stone of Springfield, cousin, Norma Bowman of NC, 2 great nephews, Steven (Rebecca Wilson) Stone Jr., Caleb Fankauser, great niece, Rebecca (Dillon) Beadle, 3 great great nephews, "S.J." Steven, Christopher, Brayden and 3 great great nieces, Julia, Amelia and Alyanna.
