James A. Felger

Age 61, of Charlotte NC, died Monday, July 15, 2019. Born in Canton, OH, November 1, 1957 to Ruth (Moser) Felger of Minerva and the late Carl Felger of New Franklin, he was a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1976 and went on to receive a technical training certificate as a heavy equipment mechanic and began working in Ohio for Conrail Railroad in 1979. He transferred to Norfolk Southern Railroad in NC and studied business at Central Piedmont Community College. 38 years and two railroads later he happily retired Nov. 2018 and enjoyed riding his Harley and spending quality time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Ruth Felger, he is survived by a daughter, Sara Felger of Palmetto, FL, son, Steven Felger of San Diego, CA, grandson, Liam Black of Palmetto, FL, a brother, Ed Felger of Minerva and 2 sisters, Carla Sue Unkefer of TX, and Jan (Mark) Maurer of Minerva,

A memorial service led by Pastor Harley Wheeler of Minerva United Methodist Church will be held August 11, 2019 from 11:30am - 1:30pm at the Brown Frame school house in Minerva Ohio at the corner of Arrow Rd NW and Bellower Rd NW.
