James G. Dunlap
Age 68, of Minerva, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 in his home following a short illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1949 in Canton to the late Charles and Marjorie (Wilson) Dunlap. He was a printer for Minerva Wax Paper and later for Buckeye Packaging prior to retirement. He is a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a truly gifted tennis player, playing for over 40 years, and was an active member of the Hall of Fame Tennis Club. He was a master of random acts of kindness, and always tried to make everyone he encountered feel special in some way. After tennis, his second passion was music, old and new.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette (Miller) Dunlap. He is survived by a sister, Cindy Hart of Ellijay, GA, a nephew Shawn Hart of Blue Ridge, GA, a niece Chandra Hart of Strongsville, OH, a great nephew, and great nieces. Those who knew Jim will not be surprised that there are no formal services. Following cremation, burial will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery in Waynesburg.
