James H. Day

Age 91, of Florida and formerly Minerva, met his Lord and Savior face to face on Sept. 17, 2023. He was born Dec. 3, 1931 in Canton to John and Leah (Yoder) Day. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and spent many summers working on his uncle Robert's farm where he learned the value of worthwhile work and love for family. He was a lifelong member of the Bayard United Methodist Church, a member of Augusta Lodge #504, F&AM. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and worked for the Ford Motor Company for 33 years.

Jim is joined in Heaven with his wife Marjorie, son, Bob, daughter, Bonnie, grandson, Brad and granddaughter, Morgan. Those left to cherish his memory are his 2nd wife, Millie Day, son, Gary (Sandi) Day, daughter, Shirley DeLane, daughter-in-law, Brenda Day, 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 22nd in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva from 3-5 pm. Those wishing to share a memory can sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
