Jacob E. Maury
age 86, of Malvern, died Tuesday, Jan 10, 2017 in the Alliance Community Hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1930 in New Martinsville, WV to Paul and Edna (Lasure) Maury. He retired from Crescent Brick in East Canton where he had worked in the industry for 47 years and had painted many barns in the Carroll County area. He is a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Malvern. He moved to Waynesburg in 1947 and then to Malvern in 1954. He was an avid gardener and in his younger years enjoyed hunting and lately loved to color.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vivian (Klotz) Maury whom he married Nov. 20, 1954, 6 children, Linda Dixon of Malvern, M. Steve Maury of Malvern, Jack (Anna Bersaglini) Maury of Waynesburg, Nancy (Wayne) Warrick of Minerva, Gary (Bev) Maury of Minerva and Becky (Jamie) Wright of Minerva, 2 brothers, Norman (Juanita) Maury and James (Carol) Maury both of Waynesburg, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way and a great great grandchild on the way, brothers and sister-in-law, Peg Klotz of Malvern, Richard and Kathleen Klotz of North Canton, John Kunstmann of Bowling Green, Daniel and Wanda Klotz of Sandyville, Martha and Dale Moyer of Malvern and numerous nieces and nephews,  He is preceded in death by a sister, Freda Maury, brother-in-law, Paul Klotz, sister-in-law, Jane O. Kunstmann and 2 great grandchildren, Abigal Seaburn and Carl Seaburn III.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Kevin McLeod officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
