I. Ray Betz,age 84, of Minerva, died Mon., Nov. 24, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born Mar. 21, 1930 to Mervin and Anna (Fogle) Betz. He is retired from B&R Auto Wrecking where he had been the owner for many years. He is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin, a US Air Force Veteran and member of the Carrollton VFW Post #2291 and the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Clorene (Whitlow) Betz who died in 1992; and 2 brothers, Bernard and Donald Betz. He is survived by a daughter, Julie (Charles) Anderson of Alliance; 3 sons, David (Lura) Betz of Minerva, Robert (Tina) Betz of Minerva and Ernest Weston of Minerva; sister, Ila June Ramser of Minerva; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Joe Ertl officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
