Henry Monte

Age 85, of Minerva, passed away, Friday July 19, 2024 in the Arbors of Minerva. He was born Feb. 21, 1937 in Dover to Louis and Jennie (Beamer) Monte. He began working for Cold Cast in Minerva and retired as an engineer from PCC Airfoils in Minerva.  He is a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.  He was President of the Minerva Athletic Booster Club for several years and announced football and basketball game films.  He graduated from Midvale High School in 1957.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Scharlene (Price) Monte who died in 2023, a sister, Theresa Morgan,  2 brothers, Joseph Monte and Emmit Semple and a granddaughter, Kenzi.  He is survived by a daughter, Debbie Green (David Kovach) of Minerva, son, David (Sandee) Monte of Minerva, and 6 grandchildren; Tiffany, Danny, Josh, Kristin, Brandy and Brook and 10 great grandchildren.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
