Helen M. Henderson
Age 85, of Carrollton, died Friday, November 21, 2014 in the Carroll Healthcare Center following a long illness. She was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Cleveland. She was a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Henderson of Amsterdam, daughter, Diane Henderson of Amsterdam, stepson, Chester R. Henderson of WA, 6 brothers and sisters; John Henry "Jack" (OkHwa) Hopewell of NC, Paul (Vera) Peoples of NC, Irene (Joe) Kidd of Freemont, Lucy (Jim) Peoples of Conn., Glenda Martin of Elyria and Jackie Peoples of Lansing, MI, 2 sisters-in-law, Sally Peoples of Lorraine and Barbara Peoples of AZ, 6 grandchildren; Richard Henderson III, Shari (Russell) Henderson-Bonds, Lincoln G. (Dorothy) Adams, Brandon W. (Jennifer) Henderson-Adams, Kayleigh R. Henderson and Skylar J. Henderson. She is also survived by many other cousins, family and close friends who became like family including, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Miller, Gladys Zwick, Susan (Jim) Kellerman of Harlem Springs, Ron and Judy Wagner of Harlem Springs, Misty Miller of Carrollton, Crystal Miller and Tim White of Carrollton, Bryan and Elenora Cox and family of Carrollton, Ron and Teresa Bentley of Carrollton and the staff of the Carroll Healthcare Center.
She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Alberta and Frank (Hodge) Peoples, stepson, James Henderson, and 4 brothers and sisters; Betty Johnson, Lafayette "Nicholas" Peoples, Alberta Peoples and David Peoples.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 30th at 3:00 pm in the Asbury African Methodist Episcopal Church in Waynesburg with Rev. William Henderson officiating.
