Hazel Laverne Kirven, age 77, of East Rochester, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
She was born in Louisville, Ohio on January 14, 1937 to the late James and Delora Willison. She married the late Paul Mangus and remarried the late Jerry Kirven. Hazel was a beloved mother , grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Survived by her five children; Larry and Ruth Mangus, of East Rochester, Ohio; Wayne Mangus of Minerva, Ohio; Lourie and George Hantz of Angola, IN; Lisa and Ron Linehan of Lancaster, OH; and Stacey Deem and friend Ted Cranston of Beloit, Ohio. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two of her seven siblings, Delora Offenberger and Russell Willison.
She was a lifelong caregiver for her family and the elderly. She brought joy and love to her family and friends and will be missed deeply. She was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin, Ohio.
A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Fairfield Medical Center for their professional and compassionate care of Hazel through many difficult times.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Joe Ertl officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Louisville, OH.
