IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Harold R
Taylor
December 1, 1930 – December 8, 2024
Harold R. Taylor
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our father, Harold R. Taylor, who left us on December 8, 2024, at the age of 94. He was born in Hiram Ohio to Carl and Marie (Urbanawitz) Taylor and grew up there with his 5 brothers and sisters. He was drafted into the US Army and served his country during the Korean War. He returned home from the army to marry the love of his life Barbara Ann Deluca. He became a father ten times over and was truly proud of all his children. Harold worked as a machinist for many years and retired from the Chrysler Corp after 25 years to pursue his passion for farming. Harold loved to work with his hands and enjoyed spending time out in the fields. He was an avid reader and was always looking for cures for whatever ailed you. Harold was a kind person that would offer a helping hand to anyone that needed it. In his later years he loved to tell his children and grandchildren stories of growing up on the farm and his time in Korea.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (Deluca) Taylor who passed in 2005, brothers, Ralph, Benjamin and Richard Taylor, sisters Elsie Kainrad and Edna Gross and Grandson, Vincent Taylor.
He is survived by his children, David (Kimberly) Taylor of Niles, James (Kelly) Taylor of Fairmont, WV, Natalie (William) Wright of Louisville, Pam (Dan) Au of Louisville, Angela (Stephen) Francis of Randolph, Arleen (Steven) Pauff of Newnan, GA, Phillip (Denice) Taylor of Medina, Roberta Taylor Bavaro of Seville, Victoria (David) Wojcik of Cuyahoga Falls, Roger (Christina) Taylor of North Canton. As well as 29 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren with more on the way. His family will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
A private family service will be held at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Father James Lang officiating the service. Burial with full military honors will be held at St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery located in Summitville where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife. Those wishing to send condolences may do so by signing the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice in Harold's name.
