Harold Hanson Gray, age 80, of Minerva, passed away on Tues., Sept. 30, 2014 from a brief illness. Formerly of East Canton and Waynesburg areas, he was born July 14, 1934 to the late Russell Boone and Bessie (Hahn) Gray. Harold graduated from East Canton High School in 1952 and attended the University of Toledo before being drafted. He served as a Sgt. in the United States Army Corp. of Engineers. He had worked at Machombers, AEP, and then started his own business, Gray Insulation, specializing in wiring and heating and cooling systems.
He is survived by children, David (Alissa) Gray of Ft. Recovery, Susan (Eddie) Bryant of Knoxville, TN, Dana (Scott) Foltz of Canton; 3 sisters, Virginia DeHoff of East Canton, Carol (Aurel) Damian of Upper Arlington, Barb Pleis of CO; a brother, Bob (Shirley) Gray of Canton; grandchildren, Bill, John, Ryan, Andy and Cassandra Gray; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend and caretaker, Marge Green. He is preceded in death by a son, Mark Gray, brother, Bruce Gray; and a sister, Alice Sluss.
