Harold R. Cowden

Age 82, of Elloree, SC and formerly East Rochester, Ohio, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 at his home in Elloree, SC. He was born April 4, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to Arthur and Dorothy (McGhee) Cowden. He was a truck driver for 22 years and then worked for West Township and retired in Dec. of 1998. He was an avid tractor collector of Minneapolis Moline for many years. Harold and Donna wintered in Florida for several years and made their home in Elloree, SC in 2009.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna (Walter) Cowden whom he married June 3, 1956, 2 sons, Larry and Andrea (Walker) Cowden of Gaffney, SC and David and Diana (Hosmer) Cowden of Elloree, SC, 2 grandsons, Chad and Megan (Miller) Cowden of Hanoverton, OH, Bret Cowden of Paris, OH, great granddaughters, Alexis Timmons and Piper Cowden, brother, Brent and Linda (Stephens) Cowden of Minerva, OH, 2 nephews, Ryan and Neil (Michelle) Cowden and aunt Eileen Henry Masters.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery in East Rochester, Ohio with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to:
