Grace Eileen Morrison

age 84, of Minerva, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 in Stone Creek Assisted Living in Alliance. She was born Feb. 27, 1936 in Helvetia, WV to Clay and Anna Belle (Karlen) Morrison. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1954. She was employed at Columbia Gas Company for 43 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin where she had been a Sunday School Teacher for many years and sang in the choir in her younger years. She is a member of Carroll Chapter #315 Order of the Eastern Star and was a Past Worthy Matron of Homeworth Chapter #553. She was a member of the Homeworth Honey's having entertained locally with songs and humor. As an adult she took classes at Malone and Mt. Union University.

She is survived by her brother, Gene (Dolly) Morrison of Minerva and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, David and Arlene Morrison, Bernard and Roseann Morrison, Ray and Ann Morrison, sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Bill Long.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 10 am to 12 at the funeral home.
