Grace E. McDaniel, age 94, of Minerva, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, October 20th after a short illness and a happy and fulfilling life. She was blessed to this earth on March 10, 1921 in Beaver Falls, PA to Clare and Mary (Troutvetter) Neely. She worked for 20 years as an LPN lovingly caring for the newborn babies in Beaver Falls. She later moved to Ohio and was a member of the East Rochester United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, George Dotson who passed in 1968 and Joseph McDaniel who passed in 1992, children Kimberly Dotson and Irving McDaniel, 3 sisters, Lois Barto, Mildred Wisherman and Esther Begley. She is survived by children, Rebecca Saling, Carl (Judy) McDaniel, Martha (Raymond) Zwick, Joan (Harold) Newcomer and Ann (David) Smith, sister Donna Murphy, brother, Melvin (Katherine) Neely, 18 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Grace was passionately devoted to her loving family, her supportive church, and Jesus Christ. She volunteered many years at Algonquin Mill Festival, served many dinners at church, enjoyed singing and listening to hymns, laughing and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Grace requested a going away party to prepare her for her new home in heaven. It will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 am till noon prior to services.
