Geraldine "DeDe" Mitchell

Age 79, of Minerva, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born Dec. 25, 1941 in Canton to William and Margaret (Stillion) Mitchell. A lifetime resident of Malvern and Minerva, she had worked at Wood's Grocery in Malvern and former for the Moss Grocery in Oneida. She is a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church.  She loved to spend time doing embroidery and quilting and was an avid card player.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by 3 brothers, Gene Mitchell of Augusta, William (Nancy) Mitchell of Beach City, Monte Mitchell of Oneida and many extended family. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lou Mitchell in 2017; her adopted parents, Grace and Dink Moss; sister, Nora Mae Mitchell; and 2 brothers, Gary and Dale Mitchell.

A Graveside service will be Saturday at 3:00 pm in East Lawn Cemetery with Rev. David Naus officiating. Friends may call at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home prior to services from 2-3 pm.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
