Gerald Dean Waugh, age 67, of Kensington, passed away suddenly, Sunday, March 19, 2017, in Alliance Community Hospital. He was born July 9, 1949 in Lynchburg, Ohio to the late John and Flora (Baise) Waugh. He retired from the GM Lordstown Assembly Plant, was a Fireman and EMT for the Beloit Fire Dept., an officer and drum instructor for the Rangerettes, coached the Sebring-WestBranch Girls Softball and was a member of the UAW Local Chapter 1112.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gwen (DeLauder) Waugh, whom he married Oct. 1, 1966; 2 daughters, Deanna (Rich) Lemasters of Minerva, Barbie (Allen) Church of Alliance; a son, Gerald "Skip" (Celesta Mullins) Waugh, Jr. of Middlefield; 4 sisters, Ferne Peterson of Wellsville, Wilma Lippincott of Delroy, Evelyn Phillips of Minerva, Janice (Joseph) Phillips of Hurlock, MD; 1 brother, Roy (Donna) Waugh of Kensington; 5 grandchildren, Alicia (Kevin Neininger) Lemasters of Bowerston, Jennifer (Johnathon) Cline of Minerva, Cavron and Alaina Church both of Alliance, Devin Waugh of Beloit; and 4 great grandchildren, Bryce and Hunter Neininger and Carson and Peyton Cline.
He is preceded in death by a brother, John Waugh, Jr.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
