Gerald L. Walker

Age 79, of Hanoverton, passed away Sat., June 24, 2023 in the Salem Regional Medical Center.  He was born Sept. 24, 1943 in Minerva to Thomas and Mildred (Frautschy) Walker. He is a retired machinist, having worked for the E. W. Bliss Company in Salem for 38 years.  He also worked for Monarch Products in Minerva. He is a member of the Trinity Friends Church, the Hanoverton Ruritans and the NRA.  He volunteered at Camp Tayanita Campfire Camp in Salineville for many years. He graduated from United High School in 1961.

He is survived by his wife, Grace (Weaver) Walker, whom he married Dec. 21, 1963; daughter, Sharon (Jeff Dawes) Calhoun of Bowling Green, KY; 2 sons, Steve Walker of Hanoverton, and Gerald Allen (Tina) Walker of Hanoverton; sister, Mary (John) Oliver of TX; 2 brothers, Larry (Linda) Walker of FL, and William Walker of Salem, 10 grandchildren, Mandy (Jordy) Farnsworth, Dustin Calhoun, Brooke (Cory Hoffmeister) Calhoun, Emily Walker, Thomas Levi Walker, Madilyn Walker, Sabrina Walker, Samantha Walker, and Troy Walker; and 4 great grandchildren, Alexis Farnsworth, Ella Pastore, Autumn Calhoun, and Sadie Calhoun. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abigail Walker.
