George M. Weekly
Age 74, of Minerva, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Aultman's Compassionate Care Center. He was born May 1, 1940 in Elyria to the late William and Alice (Allen) Weekly. He had worked at the Minerva Dairy, in plumbing and heating, was a truck driver and an auto mechanic. He is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church and the N.R.A.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Hawkins) Weekly whom he married Nov. 25, 1961, 3 sons, G. Michael Weekly of Minerva, Tim (Mary) Weekly of Columbia, TN, Todd Weekly of Carrollton, 5 sisters, Reaha Weekly of FL, Lynn Ann Burek of Orlando, FL, Sally Jernigan of Mobile, Ala, Janice Weekly of TN and June Weekly of TN, 3 brothers, Robert Weekly of Bergholz, Davie Weekly of NC and Samuel Weekly of Michigan, 2 grandchildren, Joshua Weekly of AZ and Chelsea Weekly of Carrollton and a stepgranddaughter, Garland Hudgens.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Friday at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Dale Roberts officiating. Calling hours will be held 2 hours prior to services from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
