George Edward Tokos
Age 82, of Malvern, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 in Minerva Eldercare. He was born March 4, 1934 in Cadiz. George was a Korean War Marine Veteran and retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #18. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern where he was a member of the Men's Club. George had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He supported the outdoors by being a member of the Brown Twp. Sportsman's Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Tokos, sisters, Julia Roush and Barbara Sickafoose. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marcella (Reed) Tokos, 2 sons, Tom (Tammy) Tokos of Paris, Scott Tokos of Malvern, 2 daughters, Michele Tokos of Massillon, Cindy (Leslie) Foster of Malvern, 3 grandchildren, Tristin Tokos, Brandon Foster and Tyler Tokos, a brother, Joe (Gail) Tokos Jr. of Malvern, sister, Delores (Terry Durkin) Ramey of Louisville, sister-in-law, Mona Tokos of Malvern, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Martha Reed of Malvern and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern with Father Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive guests one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
