George Masich, age 87, of Minerva, died Monday, May 28, 2012 in the Sterling House in Alliance. He was born Nov. 29, 1924 in Detroit, MI to Bogdan and Eva (Nichalish) Masich. He retired as a general foreman for Chrysler in Warren, MI. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and received a purple heart, was a member of the VFW in St. Cloud, FL and was a past master of Zion Lodge F&AM in Detroit.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Monk)(Gram) Masich whom he married Jan. 18,1986; a daughter, Tina (Robert) Betz of Minerva; a son, Michael (Eva) Masich of MO; and brother, Steve (Kathy) Masich of MI.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Cernet) Masich; a daughter, Tammy Hawkins; a sister, Mary Simpkins; and 2 brothers, Michael and Eli Masich.

Following cremation a memorial service will be held at a later date.
