Gayle A. Sevek

Age 65, of Carrollton, passed away after a short battle with cancer at his home on Thursday, Sept. 11.
2025 surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 28, 1959 in Canton to Anthony and Jean (Thomas)
Sevek. He retired from Colfor now known as American Axle after 35 years of service as a CNC Technician.
He enjoyed spending time with family and watching Ohio sports teams play, especially the Cleveland
Browns. He graduated from Southern Local High School in 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Kaaren (Benedict) Sevek whom he married June 11, 1981, 3 daughters,
Brittany (Jayson) Long of Carrollton, Brooke (Eric) Manzella of Spain, Bethany Sevek of FL, 2 sisters,
Karen (Clyde) Reed of Salineville, Connie Runnally of MA, a brother, Tad (Cheryl) Sevek of TN, 4
grandchildren; Diesel Long, Emry Long, Amelia Manzella and Oscar Manzella and 3 nephews, Anthony
Reed, Garrett and Grant Sevek. He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Jean (Thomas)
Sevek, 3 brothers, Ray Sevek, John Jarvis and Gerald Sevek; in laws, Glen and Nancy Benedict; brother-
in law, Randall Benedict; and sister-in-law, Sandy Jarvis and Pat Sevek.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva
with Dr. Rob Miller officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior
