Obituary

Garth Rainey French, age 74, of East Rochester, died Sat., Dec. 1, 2012 in his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1938 in Kansas City, MO, the son of John and Mary (Axe) French. He retired from Republic Steel and is a member of the Steelworkers Union Local #1200 and the S.O.A.R. Chapter 27-1. He is a US Army Veteran, member of the N.R.A. and the Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Assoc.

He is survived by 6 sons, David (Dawn) French of Alliance, John (Angela) French, Paul French, Samuel French, Timmy French and A.J. French all of Minerva; 2 daughters, Misty Evans of Alliance,Rebecca (David ) Tolson of Lisbon; sister, Peggy (Larry) Furbee of Hartsville, SC and 20 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Joseph Ertl officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
