Garry D. Stone
Age 72, of Minerva, died Saturday Oct. 19, 2013 in the Great Trail Care Center. He was born Feb. 27, 1941 in Amsterdam to Harry and Margaret (Brown) Stone. He had worked for Franklin Furniture in Columbiana for 15 years and Winters Industry in Alliance for 10 years. He is a US Navy Veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Carrollton VFW. He is a member of the Salineville Church of Christ and a 40 year member of the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wilda (Fitzsimmons) Stone whom he married Oct. 10, 1964, 2 sons; Garry Leroy Stone of Springfield and Steven Allan Stone of Minerva, 3 grandchildren; Steven Allan Stone Jr., Rebecca Mae Stone and Caleb Joseph Stone and a great grandson; Christopher Wayne Stone. He is preceded in death by 3 sisters; Doris Earl, Orvetta Beadnell and Patricia Cagot, 7 brothers; Eugene, James, Harry Leroy, Carl, Delvin, Delbert and Darl Stone.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Wayne Kaser officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Quaker Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 7-9 pm in the funeral home.
