Galen L. Stertzbach

Age 73, of Minerva, passed peacefully surrounded by his family, Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022.  He was born Jan. 24, 1949 in Canton to Kenneth Stertzbach and Helen (McCormick) (Stertzbach) Tucker. He retired from and worked for many years in Alliance at B&W, Alliance Tubular and PTC.  He graduated from Minerva High School and loved working with tractors, going to tractor pulls and was a train enthusiast.

He is survived by a daughter, Corina (Paul) Saling of Minerva, son, Mark (Sarah) Stertzbach of Huntersville, NC, brother, Roger (Liz) Stertzbach of Minerva, 5 grandchildren, Desiree (Paul) Runyon, Brianna Zwick, Cheyanne McFall, Alli and Aiden Stertzbach and a special granddaughter, Britney Wayts.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 pm and Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
