Fred Scott Jr. Age 85, of Minerva, died Wed., June 15, 2016 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born Oct. 13, 1930 in Homeworth to Fred and Marie (Tilton) Scott. He retired from Stark Ceramics where he worked for 49 years. He attended Minerva High School, is a US Army Korean War Veteran, member of the American Legion Post #375 in Malvern, VFW Post # 4120 in Minerva and the Eagles Aerie #2374 in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly (Ford) Scott whom he married in 1954; 3 sons, Terry Scott of Jacksonville, NC, Dan (Sue) Scott of Minerva and Kim (Sue) Scott of Minerva; 2 sisters, Helen (Eugene) Bell of Salem, Dorothy Mae Kelley of Alliance; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Paul Scott.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Fred Bays officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice.
