Franklin S. Jones, age 82, of Massillon died Wed., June 5, 2013 in Meadow Wind in Massillon. He was born May 20, 1931 in Minerva to George and Bessie (Eshbaugh) Jones. He had worked for Pony Express and was a US Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean War receiving a purple heart.

He is survived by a stepson, Thomas Jones of FL; 2 sisters, Agnes Jones of Massillon and Rachel Cox of Miss.; brother, Gerald Jones of Carrollton; 4 grandchildren, Dannielle, Tabethia, Kayla and Jessica and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a stepson, Daniel Jones; 2 sisters, Margaret Poth and Hattie Guthrie and a niece, Bonnie Carrick.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Brother David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
