Frank L. McArtor Jr.

Age 86, of Salem, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, in the Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Salem.  He was born on Oct. 16, 1939, in Minerva to Benjamin Franklin and Dorotha (Morris) McArtor. He is a 20-year veteran of the US Navy where he was a missile guidance technician and later retired from McDonald Douglas. He was involved with The Sanctuary in Cuyahoga Falls. He is a lifetime member of Augusta Lodge #504 F&AM, the VFW and was a MENSA member.  He loved to spend his free time playing pool, fishing, doing crossword puzzles and gun smithing. He enjoyed crafting pool cues and making fishing rods.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea (Veig) McArtor whom he married Oct. 2, 2004, 2 sons, Frank (Julie) McArtor III of TX, William (Jennifer) McArtor of IL, sister, Vickie (Rick) Bennett of Kensington, brother-in-law, William Russell of Hudsonville, MI, 4 grandchildren, Caleb, Brooks, Abigail and Madison. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Purifacacion Maria Lobo Jordan McArtor who died in 2003 and a sister, Karen Russell.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, Dec. 11th in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Pastor John Klapp officiating.  Masonic services will be held at 12:45 prior to services.  Burial with full military honors will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery near Minerva.
