Frances A. Yant

Frances A. Yant, age 86, of Tucson, AZ and formerly Minerva, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 in Tucson, AZ. She was born May 28, 1925 in Mechanicstown to Clarence and Iva (Tinlin) Ray. She was a housewife and had worked at the Liberty Bell in Minerva and Republic Steel in Canton. She is a member of the Minerva First Presbyterian Church, 1943 graduate of Minerva High School and a Past Matron of Esther Chapter #120 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Yant who died in 2001; a sister, Vera Peters and a brother, Carl Ray. She is survived by a son, Ronald (Rosemary) Yant of Tucson, AZ and a granddaughter, Jennifer (Jason) Bator of Tucson, AZ and 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Kassidy.

Funeral services will be Monday Jan. 9 ^th at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ben George officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-5 pm in the funeral home where Eastern Star Services will be held at 2:00 pm.
