Frances L. Montella

Age 93, of Louisville, died Wed., Dec. 19, 2018 in Aultman Hospital. She was born April 30, 1925 in Malvern to Phillip and Margie (Lauebender) Thomas. She was a clerk for Van's Boat Shop for 30 years. She is a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern, the Mayola Club, Malvern American Legion Post #375 Aux., and a founding member of the Malvern Historical Society. She graduated from Malvern High School.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Montella who died in 2002; daughter-in-law, Sheri Montella,2 brothers, Frank and Phillip Thomas; 3 sisters, Donna Stuckey, Ann Pait and Myra Jo Green

She is survived by 2 sons, James (Connie) Montella of Canton, Chris Montella of East Canton; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Westbrook of New Philadelphia, Martha Gaston of Girard; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern with Father Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Calling hours will be held 10:00-11:00 am prior to services at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
