Floyd E Passmore Sr., Age 76, of Minerva, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 in the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 23, 1940 in La Jose, PA to George and Sarah (Anderson) Passmore. He was a former employee of Babcock and Wilcox for 20 years, and was the owner and operator of Passmore Roofing and Siding and the Passmore Greenhouse for 36 years. He was a member of the West Twp. Ruritan Club for 15 years and played Grandpa Jones in the GeeHaw Show. He had a passion for hard work and was dedicated to whatever he did in his life, his work and especially his family. Floyd was never a stranger and will be greatly missed by everyone who came in contact with him. He was an avid rabbit and deer hunter with his best friend "Sally" and loved smash up derby and racing.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alberta (Arkenburgh) Passmore whom he married Jan 12, 1963; daughter, Kristina (Matthew) Small of Uhrichsville; 2 sons, Timothy (Jennie) Passmore of Leetonia, Thomas Passmore of Robertsville; 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Floyd III, Misty (Gary), Amber (J.P.), Adam, Abigail, Andrew, Brittany (Tim), Alexandria, Zackery, Melissa, and Maria; 8 great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jasmine, Alina, Baby Michael, Emily, Travis, Nichole and Tyler; 2 sisters, Betty and Alice; and 4 brothers, Walter "Piney", Edward, Ellis "Butch" and Rodney Passmore.

He is preceded in death by 2 sons, Floyd Passmore Jr., George Albert Passmore; a grandson, Thomas Joe Lawson; a great grandson, Jonathon Passmore; 7 sisters, Wanda, Edna, Ida Rose, Alta, Ruth, Julia and Helen; and 2 brothers, George and Charles.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Harold Barber officiating. Burial will be in Quaker Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8 pm and one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research. The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic for their outstanding care and compassion.
