Florence "Tillie" Shaver, age 83, of Mechanicstown, died Wed. Feb 25, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. She was born in Seminole, WV to Oakey and Margaret (Lindsey) Quinn. She retired as a nurse's aide from the Golden Age Retreat in Carrollton and had worked at the Minerva Convalescent Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Shaver, Jr. who died in 2007; a daughter, Diane Shaver; 3 sisters, Jean Parson, Patty Bailey, Kitty Summerville; 3 brothers, David, Jim, and Paul Quinn;

She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia (Kevin) Riggs of East Rochester, and Deborah (John) Fisher of Scio; 2 sons, Kenneth (Dolly) Shaver Jr. of Mechanicstown and William Shaver; a sister, Dolly Adams of Lumberport WV; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Dr. Chuck Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Augusta Cemetery.
