Faye E. Marteney
Age 74, of Breezewood, PA died Sunday March 24, 2013 in the UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital in Bedford, PA. She was born Jan. 14, 1939 in Minerva to A.G. and Dorothy (Haines) Thompson. She was a housekeeper, Nanny and former employee of Royal China in Sebring. She is a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church and currently attending the Breezewood Community Church. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1959.
She is survived by her companion of 19 years, Donald Carl of Breezewood, PA and his family; 2 daughters, Diana (Frank) McClelland of Malvern and Therese Dunlap of NC; son, LeRoy Layfield of Minerva; 3 sisters, Pat (Gene) Fry of Minerva, Sue Wandle of Minerva and Debbie (Greg) Wells of Malvern; 2 brothers, Robert (Nirtha) Thompson of Winchester, VA, Richard (Betty) Thompson of New Philadelphia; 4 grandchildren, Shelly Dunlap, Hannah, Frankie and Jacob McClelland. She is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Thompson.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Allen Hill officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm and 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.
