Fannie Marie Hershberger Kramer Roberts, age 79, of Minerva, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her home. She was born Sept. 4, 1934 in Middlefield, OH to Andrew and Anna (Bontrager) Hershberger. She married John Edwin Kramer in 1952 and had 10 children. On Jan. 20, 1967, John died in a tragic accident on Berlin Lake, leaving her with 8 small children, 3 of which were severely handicapped. In 1972 she moved to Brazil, South America, where she lived until 1978 when she returned to Ohio. She married Murel Roberts on Dec. 3, 1985 and lived in East Rochester. Murel passed away in Feb. 13, 2005 leaving her lonely. In 2009 she moved to Minerva and lived with her son Elvis who has cared for her during her illness. Friends that assisted in the care of Fannie Roberts include Mary Cantrell, Kathy Stacker and Stepdaughter, Kathryn Gribble.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Twila Kramer, 5 sons, Dennis, Peter, Jimmy, infant sons, Phillip and Philemon Kramer, a sister, Sarah Coblentz and 2 infant brothers. She is survived by 4 sons; Curtis (Mary Lee) Kramer of Canton, Elvis Kramer of Minerva, Ferris (Rosalynda) Kramer of El Campo, TX and John (Margaret) Kramer of Hungerford, TX, stepdaughter, Kathryn Gribble, 3 daughters-in-law, Freda Kramer, Arlyn Kramer and Barbara Coblentz, 21 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Sat., May 31, 2014 in the Bethany Mennonite Church in Hartville.
