Evelyn R. Craft
Age 84, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 in the Arbors of Minerva. She was born Dec. 31, 1931 in Dunham, Quebec to Walter and Rita (Knight) Paul. She was a schoolteacher having taught for the Minerva Local and Southern Local Schools and retired as the manager for the Quik Shop in Dover. She received her Bachelor's in Education from Kent State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1969.
She is preceded in death by her husband, "Jack" Craft who died in 1965; sister, Jessie LePorte; and 2 brothers, Walter "Reggie" Paul and James Paul. She is survived by a daughter, Diana (Dan) Trussel of Minerva; 2 grandsons, Jeffrey (Sonya) Wartman of Uniontown, Michael (Rachel) Wartman of Columbiana; 6 great grandchildren, Logan, Drake, Mikal, Jace, Athena and Benjamin Wartman; and 2 step great grandchildren, Haleigh Hostetler and Christopher Little.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday Nov. 2nd at 6:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Lisbon. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Alliance Hospice.
