Esther E. Totten
Age 93, of Minerva, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015 in Minerva Eldercare. She was born Nov. 17, 1922 in Paris to Louis and Lizzie (Crowl) Speakman. She was a homemaker and member of the Paris Reform Church, lifetime member of VFW Aux. #4120 in Minerva and lifetime member and former officer of the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199 and a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer "Pete" Totten who died in 1976, 2 sisters, Florence Vandegrift Owens and Grace Miller Klotz, 2 brothers, Ray and Melvin Speakman and grandsons, Matthew Rine and James Wriston Jr. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kay (Ken) Lewis of Minerva and Marilyn Rine of Minerva, son, Richard Totten of Minerva, sister, Ethel Wise of FL and 2 grandchildren, Kendra Wriston of East Canton and Kasey (Troy) Soles.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 11am to 12 noon prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the VFW Aux #4120 in Minerva.
