Emerson G. Ludwig

Age 89, of Minerva, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019. He was born April 19, 1930 in East Liverpool to Daniel and Delcie (Rhodes) Ludwig. He was a mail carrier for the US Post Office for over 30 years having delivered mail in East Liverpool, Beloit and East Rochester. He was also a steel worker. He is a US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #574 in North Georgetown, the VFW and the East Rochester Ruritan Club. He graduated from East Liverpool High School.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel (Lucas) Ludwig whom he married April 20, 1981, children, Candy Vetter of Canton, Daniel Ludwig of MO, David Ludwig of FL and Lisa Stepp of TN, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannette Burke and 2 brothers, Robert and Charles Ludwig.

Following cremation, a memorial service with full military honors will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Minerva Church of the Nazarene Lighthouse at 901 E. Lincoln Way with Rev. Tim Hawkins and the Carroll County Honor Guard. Memorial  contributions may be made to the Minerva Church of the Nazarene Lighthouse.
