Ellen B. Saling

Age 86, of Alliance, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2023 in the Aultman Alliance Hospital with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 30, 1936 in Beattyville, KY to Ballard and Martha (Barrett) Brandenburg. She is a member of the First Church of God in Alliance.  She will be remembered for her sweetness and quirky ways. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved reading her bible and spending time with her church family, playing bingo and dancing in her younger years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Saling who died in 1987 and 9 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by a daughter, Judy Griffith of Alliance, son, David (Kelly) Saling of Alliance, 3 grandchildren, John (Renae) Griffith, Shannon and Matt Saling and 3 great grandchildren, Hayden and Hanna Virtue and Benjamin S. Evans, a loving niece, Carolyn Sue Little and her best friends, Rheba, Linda and Millie.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Dale Gruver officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery in Dungannon.  Calling hours will be 11:30 to 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of God at 505 N. Lincoln Ave., Alliance, OH.
