Obituary

Elizabeth Ann McLoney

Age 86, of Carrollton, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center.  She was born in Minerva to Chester and Erla Haynam.  She was a housewife and had worked in Wright's Grocery Store in Minerva and Hill Hartman Motors in Minerva.  She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Carrollton where she had worked in the missionary women's circle and a former member of the Corinth Presbyterian Church in Mechanicstown.  She graduated from Minerva High School in 1946, was a former member of the Carrollton Garden Club, Book Club, a 4-H Leader and a member of the Blossom Country Dance Group for many years.  She was a 25 year member of Bayard Grange and a 15 year volunteer at St. John's Villa where she taught swimming to special children.

She is survived by her husband, John McLoney whom she married June 25, 1945, daughter, Joyce (John) Billotte of Apex, NC, son, Roger (Sandra) McLoney of Canal Winchester, sister, Beverly Walker of Minerva, brother-in-law, James Ewing of Salem,  4 grandchildren; Julia (Andrew) Cowden, JoEllan Billotte, Erik (Amber) McLoney and Nathan (Neela) McLoney, 2 great grandchildren, William and Eve McLoney.  She is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Mae Ewing and a brother-in-law, Richard Walker.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Burt McGlawn officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-7 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Thursday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, 1040 Trump Rd. NW, Suite B, Carrollton, OH  44615.
