Elizabeth "Beth" Berger
Age 55, of Minerva, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021 in the Cleveland Clinic. She was born Nov. 1, 1965 in Alliance to the late Wade and Patricia (Reed) Rittenhouse. She was a housewife and a homemaker and she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Beth loved cooking, baking, finding a good deal and holiday traditions. She cherished those special moments being around family at home. Beth enjoyed having late night calls with Susan, traveling to the beach with family and friends or just a simple trip to the local casino with her partner in crime, Shell.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Berger whom she married July 7, 1984, daughter, Nicole (Michael) Lybarger of Ravenna, son, Nick (Veronica) Berger of Tallmadge, sister, Susan (John) Common of Minerva, 2 brothers, Mike (Mickey) Hawkins of Minerva, Scott (Beth) Hawkins of Erie, 5 grandchildren; Amelia, Analyssa, Isabella, Eleanor and Will, mother and father-in-law, Chuck and Sandy Berger, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Kim (Bill) Loughren, Shell (Lee) Snyder and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to help children with Apraxia and other special needs through Parker's Purpose or the Cleveland Clinic Transplant Team through the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
