Eli N Weaver
Eli N Weaver, 84, of Minerva, OH was received into Glory by his Heavenly Father early Friday morning, June 19, 2026 after a brief battle with heart disease and a 3 year battle with cancer.
Eli was born to the late Noah & Lucy (Miller) Weaver on June 4, 1942. He grew up in Barrs Mills, OH and Married his sweetheart Amanda (Miller) on October 25, 1962. They came to know Jesus as their Savior as a young married couple. God was at the center of Eli’s focus unwaveringly until his death. He was passionate about sharing the gospel, whether with co-workers, in prison ministry or with his family and friends. He also lived with an open hand to help those in need, taking the words of Jesus literally “you have the poor with you always”, never judging whether they were worthy or not.
Eli owned and operated Weaver Excavating along with his sons for 25 years, doing a lot of local landscaping, home excavations, ponds, etc.
Eli was instrumental in starting The Bargain Store thrift shop to benefit Olive Branch Ministries in 2018 where he remained on the board until his death.
His hobbies included fishing, reading, traveling, fabricating and small engine repair. His children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews and many other young people loved fishing with him and learning from his wisdom, whether it was repairing their vehicles or life values and it gave him great pleasure to share with them and build relationships with them. He took his family on many outings & camping trips, building memories in in simple ways.
He was a member of River of Life Fellowship Church in Shreve, OH, where he enjoyed attending and sharing in church activities.
Surviving along with his wife are 5 children; Dean (Nettie) Weaver, Miller, SD, Wilma Overholt, Minerva, OH, Marietta (Phil) Yoder, Cumberland Furnace, TN, Jim (Jana) Weaver, Kensington, OH, Norma, Great Falls, MT, son-in-law Lyle Miller, Great Falls, MT, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, Brother Roy (Judy) Weaver, Pickens, SC, sister MaryAnn (James) Beachy, Dover, OH, sister-in-law Miriam Weaver, Sarasota, FL
