Eleanor L. Sheckler
Age 81, of Minerva, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 in her home. She was born April 8, 1931 in McConnelsville, Ohio to Carl Walker and Mary (Garrett) (Walker) Noland. She was a housewife and member of the Minerva First Christian Church and the 4-Square Sunday School Class. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1949.
She is survived by her husband, E. Ward Sheckler whom she married June 1, 1952; 2 sons, Steven (Myra) Sheckler of Minerva and William (Sheryl) Sheckler of Waynesburg; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, David, Nicole and Nancy. She is preceded in death by 5 brothers, Dean, Roy, Donald, Dana and Carrollton "Pard" Walker.
Funeral services will be Sunday Dec. 30th at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman and Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
