Eleanor L. Lutes, age 84, of Minerva, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. She was born Feb. 20, 1930 in Alliance to Howard and Hilda (Spall) Stratton. She retired from PCC in Minerva where she worked for many years. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1948.

She is survived by 5 children, Sharon Longfellow of Canton, Thomas (Faye) Lutes of the Philipines, Frank (Jolaine) Lutes of Minerva, Debby (Orin) Slack of Minerva and Gerald (Lisa) Lutes of Minerva; brother, Robert (Doris) Stratton of Canton; aunt, Rose (Don) McAllister of Marlboro; 15 grandchildren, Jarrod, Kenny, Kylie, Rose, Sarah, Frank (Patty), Zachary, James, Johnathan, Joseph, Kaitlyn and Benjamin Lutes, Debbie (Chris) Strange, Jessica (Jeff) Yost and Kathy (Zach) Coffy; and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Lutes; and 2 sisters, Shirley Mayles and June Stratton.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. John Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
