Elaine M. Ludwig
Age 68, of Minerva, died Monday, May 2, 2016 in Minerva. She was born May 14, 1947 in Canton to the late Marion and Mary (Murphy) Stang. She was a flea market vender for 30 years. She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Canton and graduated from Lincoln High School. Her heart's devotion was to her dogs which she raised for many years. Elaine has been an inspiration throughout her life to her children and grandchildren by her strength and determination and never ending willpower; to fight to live life—her way. Words that embody her are strength, courage and an overcomer. Although life was never easy-she taught us the importance of being family, no matter what. After a three year battle with cancer, Elaine is finally at peace and no longer having to fight, but is at home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Fletcher who died in 2000. She is survived by 3 daughters, Tammy Fletcher of Canton, Barbara Morris of Canton and Pam (Kurt) Apisa of Minerva; a son, Travis Fletcher of Malvern; 2 sisters, Bonnie (Chuck) Carnahan of Canton, Patricia Pritchett of Brewster; a brother, Marion Stang Jr. of Canton; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters;
He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalms 23
