Edith "Edie" Thomas
Age 77 of Malvern died Sunday June 19, 2011 in Altercare of Alliance. She was born Feb. 8, 1934 in Wellsburg, WV to Stephen and Eleanor (Ambrose) Dennis. She retired from General Color and Chemical in Minerva for 28 years where she was the office manager. She graduated from Malvern High School in 1952.
She is preceded in death by her husband Philip L. Thomas who died in 1999, two sisters; Millie Dennis and Ruby Hohler, two brothers; George and Steven Dennis. She is survived by a daughter; Teri (Jerry) Foster of Malvern, a grandson; Kyle Foster, two brothers; Robert (Polly) Dennis of Uhrichsville and Glen (Martha) Dennis of Mesa, AZ, special niece; Vicki Alkire of Canton and grand-dog Riley Roo.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Chaplain Maryla Meagher officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 10-11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Altercare of Alliance Alzheimer's Unit "Speret Hall" Activities Fund. Special Love, Hugs and Thanks to the staff of Altercare of Alliance "Speret Hall" for the care given to Edie.
