Edith M. Murphy

Age 88, of Minerva, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Canterbury Villa in Alliance. She was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Dennison to William and Agnes (Stewart) Severn. She retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva where she was an X-Ray Technician for 34 years. She is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minerva, American Legion Aux. #357, VFW Aux. #4120 and the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1946 and Alliance Beauty School.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard Murphy whom she married Feb. 25, 1949, 2 sons, Michael Murphy of Minerva, Richard (Judy) Murphy of Marion, brother, Nick Severn of Canton, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Marla Murphy, sister, Irene Richardson and 3 brothers, Bill, Kenny and Forest "Jr." Severn.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
