Obituary

Edgar "Dutch" Haynam
age 93, of Minerva, died Friday, May 29, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 24, 1922 in Bayard to Earl and Mabel (Stonehill) Haynam. He is a retired Dairy Farmer, a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church and former board president. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1941 and is a WWII US Army Veteran, member of the West Twp. Ruritans, Columbiana County Farm Bureau, the Bayard Grange #1878, Columbiana County Pamona Grange, State and National Grange and was inducted into the Stark County Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty May (Lippincott) Haynam who died in 2004 and 3 brothers; Ellwood, Lee and Lester Haynam. He is survived by a daughter, Diana (Bill) Richeson of Minerva, son, Troy (Kim) Haynam of Alliance, sister, May Ella (Frank) Boyd of East Rochester, brother, Floyd (Betty Irene) Haynam of Minerva, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and special friend, Carol George.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Bayard United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. The family would like to give special thanks to Hope Bowling and Rose Miller for their exceptional tenderness and loving care over the last 19 months. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice or the Bayard United Methodist Church.
